Dirty Little Secret...
I faithfully check the Post Secret blog on Sunday mornings. I completely love it. It's refreshing to know that there are people out there with secrets bigger than your own. What's my secret? I'm not telling! :)
Below is the video for The All American Rejects song Dirty Little Secret. It's the same concept of the Post Secret blog. Your secret on a Post Card. But no one knows it's your secret.
I've always loved this song. And the lead singer! :) Can you say gorgeous? :) :) :) He's TOTALLY my type. I like to watch their videos over and over again just to see him... Hmmm... maybe that's my secret? :)

Mr. Mom
This song always makes me smile. :) I always sing along when it's on the radio... Jeremiah stayed home with the kids shortly after this song came out, so it's one I think he understands! It really does point out a lot of what goes into being a 'stay at home' parent...
This one goes kind of slow so you might have to let it load first, but it's just great! :) Hope you enjoy!

I just had to share...
So this video "stars" a guy that worked with Jeremiah at Euclid. He's hilarious and I have, at various times, stalked his friends online... Anyway, the guy walking around in the video is Dana and he is awesome. :) I'm glad I could pass on the awesomeness...
Gay Men Musicians...
QUEEN: We Will Rock You
Robyn sings this song... it's awesome...
Why is it that there are so many WONDERFUL gay men singers / musicians? Men who can actually sing and are fabulous?! And why are so many of them NOT from the US? Is it because we are less accepting of the fact that they are gay? Or is it because our men just aren't as wonderful in the voice department???
I love the music of Queen, George Michael and Elton John. Some of my absolute favs. (Don't get me wrong, I love me some Aerosmith, but that's not what this is about!) Their songs are catchy, they are fantastic singers (you know, the kind that actually CAN sing), and they can mesmerize you.... Love them...
And George: If you ever go back to women (women who are married, overweight and have a husband and 3 kids), look me up. :) I've wanted to marry him since I was 8 so when he came out (well, was forced out), I was heart broken....
I can embed the Queen Video, but if you want to see one of my most fav George Michael videos, you'll have to click on the link below:

And Elton, I love Tiny Dancer. My most fav song of any artist, actually. But there are so many good ones of his that I can't choose a fav video. SO, Tiny Dancer has won because it's an amazing song...
Don't you love his voice? I just love it... So much! In seriously EVERY song I have ever heard of his... And this song was made popular again because it was featured in 'Almost Famous', which happens to be one of my fav movies! (I love Patrick Fugit and Kate Hudson, too...)
And Elton is coming to Utah to concert. Wanna buy me a ticket? Only $200 each! Yeah... I wish I had the money. Anyone want to go in on it? Everyone want to go in on it? You can make my life wonderful! :) I mean, I have never seen ANY of these wonderful guys / bands live! SO be my best friend, donate to my cause! Send me to see Elton, people!!!
Okay, loves....

"BAD" Songs...
I like inappropriate music.
Things that I probably shouldn't be listening to; definitely things I shouldn't listen to in front of my kids.
But I can't help it! If I get in the car and I'm by myself, I automatically turn it to the "Rap CD" that Jeremiah made a few years back. And they have some lovely and catchy Pop-like Gangsta Rap on them. So I'm singing Eminem and 50 Cent and Kanye and Jay Z to myself. Well, myself and anyone else who can possibly here me singing in my car with my stereo turned all the way up... And they say bad words. Words that someone in Primary shouldn't sing...
But you know, every time I DO find myself singing along to some of my Jay Z (or whomever else may be on), I feel like this...

Hot and Cold - the Twilight Parody
My girlfriend Michelle (who is the only follower of this blog at this time) posted this video on her blog a while back. She's not a Twilight fan, but can appreciate a good parody when she sees one. I have to say, this is my favorite Twilight video I have ever came across - and it's a parody!!!
Now, if you have watched the video, you will think of it every time you here the wonderful song "Hot and Cold" by Katy Perry.

Satan Songs
So I found these on accident a few months ago while looking for a funny birthday greeting. Ever since, I have been obsessed. My kids even know the 'Happy Birthday' song... Yeah. It's pretty much awesome. You can click play and go to the different songs or you can click on the arrows on the side of the video. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. :)

WATCHING YOU, by Rodney Atkins
This song makes me cry happy tears. :) It reminds me so much of my little guys and how they want to be just like their daddy...
Lyrics are as follows...
Drivin’ through town just my boy and me
With a Happy Meal in his booster seat
Knowin’ that he couldn’t have the toy ‘til his nuggets were gone.
A green traffic light turned straight to red
I hit my brakes and mumbled under my breath.
His fries went a flyin’, and his orange drink covered his lap
Well, then my four year old said a four letter word
It started with “S” and I was concerned
So I said, “Son, now where’d you learn to talk like that?”
Chorus:
He said, "I’ve been watching you, dad ain’t that cool?
I’m your buckaroo, I wanna be like you.
And eat all my food and grow as tall as you are.
We got cowboy boots and camo pants
Yeah, we’re just alike, hey, ain’t we dad?
I want to do everything you do.
So I’ve been watching you."
We got back home and I went to the barn
I bowed my head and I prayed real hard
Said, “Lord, please help me help my stupid self.”
Just this side of bedtime later that night
Turnin’ on my son’s Scooby-Doo nightlight.
He crawled out of bed and he got down on his knees.
He closed his little eyes, folded his little hands
Spoke to God like he was talkin’ to a friend.
And I said, “Son, now where’d you learn to pray like that?”
Chorus:
He said, "I’ve been watching you, dad ain’t that cool?
I’m your buckaroo, I want to be like you.
And eat all my food and grow as tall as you are.
We like fixin’ things and holding momma’s hand
Yeah, we’re just alike, hey, ain’t we dad?
I want to do everything you do; so I’ve been watching you"
With tears in my eyes I wrapped him in a hug.
Said, “My little bear is growin’ up.”
And he said, “But when I’m big I’ll still know what to do.”
"‘Cause I’ve been watching you, dad ain’t that cool?
I’m your buckaroo, I want to be like you.
And eat all my food and grow as tall as you are.
By then I’ll be strong as superman
We’ll be just alike, hey, won’t we dad
When I can do everything you do.
‘cause I’ve been watchin’ you."
Drivin’ through town just my boy and me

And so I begin...
Today I am having a lot of emotion connected to songs... From something simple like "Happy Birthday" to something familiar like "I am a Child of God" to something that brings up a happy memory of my past like "Walking in Memphis"... And so, a new blog is born. Enjoy.
